The Corner Room opened in 2017 at 1403 King St E — one street west of Ottawa St — with a simple goal: premium hairstyling and care at an affordable cost, in a warm, welcoming environment. In our very first year, we won Platinum in the Reader’s Choice awardsas the best salon in Hamilton. We offer professional colour, styling, and cutting with sought-after stylists who take the time to understand and deliver exactly what each guest wants.
We’re a carbon-neutral, Green Circle certified salon. That means all hair clippings, masks, gloves, leftover colour, and every scrap of paper, plastic, and foil is recycled or repurposed — keeping hundreds of pounds of waste out of our landfills every year.
Studies show most LGBTQ2S+ clients have been misgendered at past hair appointments, and many experience judgement about their appearance. With gender-neutral pricing, a gender-neutral washroom, and an inclusive environment, we’re doing our part to provide a safer space for everyone.
