About the salon
What is The Corner Room?
The Corner Room is an award-winning, boutique hair salon in Hamilton, Ontario, open since 2017. We’re colour specialists at heart — balayage, colour correction, blonding, and custom colour — alongside precision and curly cutting. We won Platinum in the Reader’s Choice awards as Hamilton’s best salon in our first year, and have earned over 1,000 five-star client reviews since.
Where is The Corner Room located?
We’re at 1403 King St East in Hamilton, Ontario — one street west of Ottawa St. You can reach us at (905) 297-7900.
What are your hours?
Tuesday and Wednesday 10am–6pm, Thursday and Friday 10am–8pm, and Saturday 9am–3pm. We’re closed Sunday and Monday.

What services do you offer?
Colour (balayage and highlights, custom and fashion colour, colour correction, blonding, grey blending), precision cuts, curly and textured-hair cutting, lived-in and low-maintenance styling, bridal and event hair, and conditioning treatments.
Do you specialize in hair colour?
Yes — colour is our core specialty. Our senior colourists handle everything from natural, lived-in balayage to bold fashion colour and full platinum blonding, with healthy-hair integrity as the priority.
Do you do colour corrections?
Yes. Colour correction — fixing over-processed, banded, brassy, or uneven colour — is one of our specialties. These are booked as a consultation first so we can assess your hair and plan the right approach.
Do you cut curly and textured hair?
Yes. We offer dry curly cutting and styling that works with your natural texture and curl pattern, so your cut looks great between appointments.
Do you do bridal and wedding hair?
Yes — we offer bridal and event styling both in-salon and on-site, including trials, for your wedding day and special occasions.

I’m a new client — what should I expect?
Every appointment starts with a real consultation. We talk through your hair history, your routine, and exactly what you want before we begin, so the result fits your life — not a one-size-fits-all formula. New clients are always welcome.
Do you offer consultations?
Yes. A consultation is built into every appointment, and for bigger changes like colour corrections or major restyles we recommend booking a dedicated consultation first. You can request one by calling (905) 297-7900.
How do I book an appointment?

Do you take walk-ins?
We’re primarily appointment-based so we can give each guest our full attention. If you’re hoping for same-day, give us a call at (905) 297-7900 and we’ll check availability.

Yes. We’re a carbon-neutral, Green Circle certified salon, which means hair clippings, foils, colour, and salon plastics are recycled or repurposed — keeping hundreds of pounds of waste out of landfill every year.

Absolutely. We offer gender-neutral pricing, a gender-neutral washroom, and an inclusive environment, because everyone deserves to feel safe and seen at their hair appointment.
